We’re all back to our routine but maybe not quite settled. Being up in those mountains in Bulgaria was just amazing, such a sense of aliveness. Our holiday really was a very special time, some of us hadn’t skied for over 30 years so it was fun to try it out again and a whole new experience for the kids.
Being with the whole family was just lovely and we had some much needed time together, lots of fun, laughter and of course tears but time to talk and support one another, especially Kamran who has been away in South Korea for the past three years and has just returned to face the reality of our tragic loss.
The resort we were in was great and being up in the stunning mountains and breathing in the fresh air was a joy, Bulgaria is a beautiful country. We’ll never forget the experience for lots of reasons but we’ll also never forget why we were there. One day whilst we were having a whole family group chat, which turned into a bit of a therapy session, we took turns to open up and talk.
